The Infinity Park Event Center is proud to announce the newest member of the team!
Becca Sherman

Becca Sherman is bummed that she didn’t make the move to the Infinity Park Event Center a little sooner.

If she did, she could’ve walked to work.

“I lived in an apartment for the last three years on South Cherry Creek Drive,” Sherman laughed. “So I could’ve walked to work six months ago.”

The Philadelphia native is not new to Colorado. She made the move to the Centennial state when she attended the University of Colorado about 15 years ago where she studied dance and communication. It was there that she knew that she wanted to work in the events industry.

“I was at an agency while I was in college in Boulder, and I have been in the music and live events industry ever since,” Sherman said.

Sherman has an extensive background in the live music industry. She is experienced in concert production, live event production, and festival production. A ton of that experience came during her role as a Box Office Manager at Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom where she spent the previous 10 years of her career.

According to Sherman, Cervantes and the Infinity Park Event Center have more in common than people think, and she will draw on those experiences at Cervantes as she moves forward in her new role.

“I was the box office manager there but it’s a very small, all hands on deck operation,” Sherman said. “It’s very similar to here. It was a lot of operations management and nightly venue management. A lot of similar stuff.”

While she’s still excited to wear a ton of different hats, Sherman knows that the Infinity Park Event Center will be a nice change of pace from the nightly events at Cervantes. When it came to finding the next place to continue her career, the Infinity Park Event Center checked the boxes that Sherman was looking for.

“I was looking for something that was more consistent,” Sherman said of her job search. “I was also looking for somewhere I could grow. I have kind of outgrown where I was and what I was doing. When you get older, you kind of want to mellow out. I’m mellowing out a little bit which is good. I’m slowing down.”

Not only is she excited to slow down a bit, but she is also excited to do different things within the events industry that she didn’t get the chance to do before.

“I’m excited to do different kinds of events and not just adult babysit musicians,” Sherman said. “I’m excited to be able to work with lots of different clients.”

While Sherman is sad to no longer live within walking distance from the office, she is excited about the house she bought last August. Working on her new home keeps her busy when she isn’t at the office, and it also has presented her with the opportunity to learn a new set of skills.

“I’m renovating our house right now,” Sherman said. ‘I’m learning a lot of DIY house renovations.”

When she’s not working on events or on her house, she enjoys hanging out with her dogs Monkey and Rafiki, and her cats Gray Boy and Rasmus.

Welcome to the Infinity Park Event Center, Becca!
